It refers to the *International Organization for Migration*, which is an intergovernmental organization under the United Nations. Its main mission is to promote humane and orderly migration by providing assistance to migrants and governments on migration-related issues. The IOM works to ensure that the rights of migrants are respected and that they receive support in crisis situations, as well as in integration and development processes. Additionally, the IOM focuses on international cooperation to address the challenges and opportunities of global migration.​
